The Communication Trust’s information event for MPs on Wednesday 28th February – encourage your MP to attend

On Wednesday 28th February, The Communication Trust (TCT) have organised an information event for MPs  ‘Future funding of Speech, Language and Communication Needs’. It is being hosted by Lord Watson of Invergowrie, Shadow Spokesperson for Education in the House of Lords.

Please send a letter to your MP to encourage them to attend.  The template is available below, please amend as appropriate and copy in Jack Williams to your email jwilliams@thecommunicationtrust.org.uk

1. Use the template to write a letter

Address it to Rt Hon Damien Hinds MP, Secretary of State for Education

2. Sign and share the petition that is on change.org

Encourage people from beyond the SLCN ‘bubble’ to sign and share also.

3. Follow NAPLIC

We are using #50pforSLCN as our slogan as there are 1.4 million children and young people with SLCN in the UK and TCT budget is £650k. That is less than 50p per child.
