A Message from the NAPLIC Chair – Victoria Wadsworth
Dear colleagues and friends,
I’m delighted to share that the videos from the NAPLIC 2025 Conference – “Developmental Language Disorder (DLD): Research, Practice and Lived Experience” – are now available to purchase.
Held on Saturday 29th March, this year’s conference was a powerful reminder of the value of coming together to share knowledge, lived experiences, and new perspectives. From heartfelt personal stories to thought-provoking research and practical strategies, the day was rich with insight and inspiration.
As I’ve revisited the recordings, I’ve found them to be a wonderful opportunity to reflect on the depth and diversity of voices in our community. Whether you joined us in person or couldn’t make it on the day, these videos offer a chance to reconnect with the content—or experience it for the first time.
Highlights include:
- Tanaya Brady – My DLD Journey
- Abraz Hussain – Living and Working with DLD
- Dr. Jenny Gibson – Neurodiversity-Affirming Research Approaches
- Amanda Finer – Do You Hear Us? Listening to Children with DLD
- Navigating the Diagnosis: Parental Perspectives on Developmental Language Disorder – Hannah Harvey, Anna Woodward, Loren Crisp, Kate Hodkinson, Genna White
- Amy Gaunt – What is Oracy and How Can Schools Provide It?
Purchase Details:
Thank you for being part of our community and for your continued commitment to improving the lives of children and young people with DLD.
Warm regards,
Victoria Wadsworth
